Irish Commercials the Volvo Truck and Bus Dealership for central Ireland, has announced the development of a new depot based in Santry, North Dublin which is due to open Quarter One 2017.
The seven double bay depot will offer a range of services including Volvo Truck and Bus Maintenance and Repairs, Volvo Genuine Parts and a Tachograph Centre, but will also contain their Partech division which supplies parts for all makes of trucks, buses & trailers.
Santry, similar to Irish Commercials’ other depots in Naas and Galway, will be purpose-built and ideally positioned to support and develop their growing customer base in the area. Located two minutes from Dublin Airport and just off both the M50 and M1 motorways, the new depot will serve North Dublin and surrounding areas. Naas will remain the head office and the preferable location for customers further South along the M50, M7 and surrounding counties.
The opening of their third depot is viewed as an important step for Irish Commercials in delivering on their customer commitments.
Commenting on the new depot, Managing Director Barry Horan said: “We are delighted to announce this next step in the development of our business and know that getting closer to our customers in North Dublin, will further enhance the service we provide.”
He added, “Vehicles are becoming more advanced and compliance is also an increasing challenge for our customers; because of this, customers are trusting us more and more with the maintenance on their vehicles while they are concentrating on their own core business. This noticeable trend means that we must be closer to our valued customers geographically, and we have received fantastic feedback from them as a result of this announcement. Of course, we also expect to grow our customer base in the North Dublin region as the location of our new Santry depot, is a very convenient one for the truck and bus operators in the region.”
