Up to 80,000 motorists including truckers may be affected as eFlow toll tags stop working on the M1, M7/M8 and N25
From August 31st until further notice, eFlow’s electronic toll tags may no longer work at toll plazas operated by the Celtic Roads Group (CRG).
The following tolls roads will be affected:
- M1 (Gormanston – Monasterboice)
- M7/M8 (Portlaoise – Castletown/Portlaoise – Cullahill)
- N25 (Waterford City Bypass)
This means that eFlow customers who have tag accounts will have to pay with cash or card at these toll plazas; tags may not be recognised.
These measures have been put in place to protect the integrity of the service that eFlow provides for their tag customers.
At present, in order for a tag to be recognised as you pass through a toll plaza, the operator of the toll (CRG) must have an Agreement with the tag provider (eFlow). Unfortunately, due to reasons outside of our control, an Agreement has not yet been made. This means, until further notice, eFlow tag customers may not be able to use their tags at CRG toll plazas.
We hope that this won’t happen however discussions between Transport infrastructure Ireland (eFlow) and CRG will continue with the aim of resolving this matter as quickly as possible for our customers.
In the meantime, your eFlow tag will continue operate as normal at the following toll plazas:
- M50 Barrier-Free Toll
- M3 (Clonee – Kells)
- M4 (Kilcock – Enfield – Kinnegad)
- N6 (Galway – Ballinasloe)
- N8 (Rathcormac – Fermoy Bypass)
- East-Link Bridge
- Dublin Port Tunnel
- Limerick Tunnel
eFlow endeavour to provide all their customers with up to date information as this situation progresses.
This issue does not effect any other tag account providers.
