This weekend witnessed roughly 150 drivers that took part in convoy to protest Brexit across the Northern Irish border from Donegal too Londonderry.

Organised by members of IRHA, HGVs gathered at Bridgend near the border on Sunday 20th October to demonstrate the trade challenges that will come into play after Brexit. It is approximated that 13,800 vehicles cross the border every day between the Republic and Northern Ireland, sources confirmed. Within minutes, the soft boarder gave the illusion of a hard border as the convey passed.

Drivers that took part explained how they wanted to demonstrate how the free movement of freight is vital to businesses and trade and the affects that post-Brexit custom checks and infrastructure would look like.
